Shanghai is one of the most convenient gateway for woldwide visitors to fly to Tibet. There are 3 flights from Shanghai to Lhasa with stopover in Chengdu or Xi'an. These flights are operated by China Eastern Airline, Tibet Airline and Air China. These flights take about 7 hours from Shanghai to Lhasa or from Lhasa to Shanghai.  There are also other connecting flights from Shanghai to Chengdu, Chongqing and Kunming, then visitors can connect for another flight to Lhasa.
